Softening Up

Are there savings to be made at the MoD? Of course. If we only fought wars in defence of our own interests, then that would be a start. But that is not what is going to happen.

Instead, we are being softened up for the abolition of all three Armed Forces by means of their "merger" into a dustbin for our least accomplished boys, ludicrously and offensively compared to the USMC, though like it in being under American command (with a single EU "capability"). Exactly as Tony Blair and David Miliband always wanted.

David Cameron and William Hague have set up Liam Fox for a fall. The erstwhile neocon, George Osborne, seems to have gone back to his roots and lined up with the High Tories instead. So, when will the Fox be shot? How much damage does he have to do first?
