South Africa

We have a responsibility to the Anglo-Africans.

We have a responsibility to any mixed-race people created by the British Empire.

And we have a responsibility to those whose indentured Indian ancestors that Empire scattered around the world, not least to the east coast of Africa.

For that matter, we would have a responsibility to any body of tribal chiefs which chose, as the Great Council of Chiefs of Fiji still does long after that country became a republic in bloody circumstances, to acknowledge the Queen as Paramount Chief.

Zuma, you have been warned.

Haven't you?

If not, why not?

  1. Zuma, you have been warned.

What on earth does this mean? What, pray, does a feckless peacenik propose to do about a man such as this? (He will not be impressed by mere wittering on about the British Empire.)

  2. I don't know who you think is "a feckless peacenik".

In South Africa as in Zimbabwe, I want the Anglo-Africans, and as many black tribes as possible, to declare publicly their allegiance to the Queen, and their appeal to everyone else who so acknowledges to protect them both now and in the future.

I want the Coloureds (among whom I have relatives) and the Indians in South Africa to do this, too.

And I want the rest of us to answer the call, immediately in Zimbabwe, and should the need arise in South Africa.
