If the Parental State had not replaced him, then this tragedy might very well have been averted. The presence of the natural father is far and away the strongest defence against child abuse of whatever kind. Yet, even in this of all cases, how long has it been before anyone has even bothered to track him down and ask him what he thinks?
She who massively extended the Parental State with her wretched Children Act and other measures also destroyed the economic basis of paternal authority, initially in working-class families and communities, and then very rapidly throughout the society that, in any case, she denied existed at all.
Her party (which went on to give Helen Brook, weirdo coiner of the very term "the Parental State", the CBE) has learnt nothing, to say the least. It did not even whip its MPs to oppose the legal abolition of fatherhood, so that two women can now be named as the parents on a birth certificate.
Expect many, many, many more Baby Ps.

ReplyDeleteIn answer to your question I found the following:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1937610.ece
THE father of tragic Baby P KIDNAPPED him in a desperate bid to protect the tot from his evil mum and boyfriend.
He refused to hand back the pale and bruised boy after a weekend visit because he feared for his safety.
But his ex-wife called in the police, who then ordered him to return screaming Baby P to the vile pair.

His gran said she had previously alerted Haringey council in North London that the toddler — on their “at risk” register — was being abused.
She suspected Baby P’s sadistic stepdad — her daughter’s boyfriend. But she said: “They just ignored me.”
Her evil daughter, 27, even lied that injuries to the defenceless youngster were caused by the gran — who found herself ARRESTED.
Why does none of this come as any sort of surprise?
