Goldsmith Fails To Glisten

Zac Goldsmith is not a patch on his father.

Goldsmith The Younger now says that the vandalism of a power station is acceptable in the service of opposition to high-skilled, high-wage, high-status jobs, and to independence from Arab (or Venezuelan) oil and Russian (or Bolivian) gas.

Remember that, alongside Purnell at Work and Pensions, and Adonis at Education, this man will be David Cameron’s Environment Secretary.

  1. I think "not a patch" is rather courteous to him. His claim to be an environmentla expert does not rest on his 4 A Levels but on the fact that daddy's money keeps the miniscule circulation "Ecologist" magazine going.

His father was a very fine pirate whose own political movement was infinitely more sensible than the "environmental" one. I am sure he would have broken the law (it has credibly been suggested he did in relation to lord Lucan) but never claimed a right to do so.
