Alan Milburn

Who cares what a man thinks who, until he started getting fat consultancy fees from the companies whose interests he is trying to promote by advocating privatisation and casualisation, had never worked outside politics except to run a Trotskyist bookshop called Days of Hope, known to its clientele as "Haze of Dope"?

For all his faults, Brown is the only thing standing between this country and the reduction of the NHS to a pure commissioner of services, the introduction of school vouchers while even state schools are permitted to charge absolutely any fees they like (far beyond the value of any voucher), war with Iran and Russia, and the complete abolition of public transport, local government and social housing.
