Genocide In South Ossetia

Good luck to Saakashvili, "elected" with ninety-six per cent of the vote, on that one. Because he is certainly going to need it.

Of course there was a genocide in South Ossetia. Two thousand members of the linguistically and civically Russian majority there were put to death by the forces of Saakashvili. When there are only seventy thousand people to begin with (even including the ethnic Georgian minority), that is a genocide.

And it would not have stopped, had not the Russians intervened.
