Brought Home From Iraq By Next Summer?

I sincerely hope so, of course.

But better still, let them bring themselves home in such a way that Brown, Cameron and the rest would only find out when they switched on their televisions and saw the triumphant marching through the cheering, flag-waving crowds.

Without a shot's needing to be fired, our rotten and decadent, blood-thirsty but battle-cowardly Political Class would be brought crashing to the ground.

Now that really would be the defence of this Realm.

  1. How would the crowds know they were coming home, in order to go out and wave their flags and cheer?

  2. This blog would tell them, of course.

Seriously, things like that happen spontaneously. Word just spreads, or people just see it.

And the Forces are part of mainstream society. The Political Class and its media hangers on are not - they are self-contained, and have, as I have written here before, no stake of family or friendship in the Forces, so no compunction about sending them off to be harvested to no good purpose whatever.

  3. American dominance in world affairs is not going to wane unless someone stands up to them.

Running away from Iraq whilst the Americans are still there is just weak and pathetic, and world's last best hope of social and moral order will vanish from the world. (Don't forget why we're there in the first place.)

Of course the sodding crowds wouldn't cheer. They'd just be grateful that all those stupid soldiers are back so that Alistair Darling can spend more money on their hand-outs (in cash and in kind).

  4. And why not? Practically everybody gets at least one, whether or not they like to admit it.

"Don't forget why we're there in the first place."

    Quite.

    Social and moral order indeed.
