Iran Again, But Nobody Cares

Even ABC's World News Tonight With Charles Gibson hardly bothered to report the latest incident, such as it was. And the reason why was clear from the main news story, the New Hampshire primaries.

Could it be that every potential President, every single one, will treat the Crazies as they were treated by the man who first so dubbed them: George Bush, Senior? Then thanks be to God - there simply is not going to be a war against Iran. You've lost. Deal with it.

Could that be?

  2. So, is the British People's Alliance running a candidate against him?

  3. Yes, John Edwards.

If you are a Democrat, then please vote Edwards.

If you are a Republican, then please vote either Huckabee (who could only be unseated in 2012 by a Democrat like Edwards, and who would do some admirable things for the poor in the meantime) or Paul.

If you are an Independent and your state has open primaries, then please vote Edwards.

  4. He's not really a British People's Alliance candidate though, is he? He's a Democrat. Who may be endorsed by the BPA, but doesn't run under their colours, and certainly wouldn't describe himself as a BPA candidate if asked.

I hope this isn't how you intend to fulfil your pledge of running candidates in every seat by the next UK General Election, by merely choosing one candidate who you approve of. Otherwise, I could also run a candidate in every seat, by the same logic.

  5. Ok - I can now announce that the newly formed Jon party will be running a canddidate in every seat in the next election in the UK. For example, we're running Ed Vaizey in Wantage. I say "we're running" - actually, he's running as a Conservative, and he won't say he's running as a Jon party candidate, or even recognise the Jon party if asked. Still, apparently "endorsing a candidate" is the same thing as "setting up a new party, recruiting our own candidates and running them under our party name". So I reckon I've done pretty well. In fact, I'm already well ahead of the BPA, given I have all 645 candidates agreed. Next step, I'm branching out into the US.

  6. Good luck. I look forward to reading your complete list of endorsed candidates.
