I am as anti-drugs as it gets, so I would be quite sympathetic to a lot of these planned deportations to Jamaica. If all drug offenders were sentenced equally. Or even prosecuted at all.
As is being widely pointed out, many a Conservative MP has a criminal conviction. And many more would have them if the dear old Crown Prosecution Service had not been so deferential. More than anything else, that is in relation to drugs. If Michael Gove can be one of the most powerful people in the country, then why should other drug offenders be separated from their children by deportation?
Boris Johnson has also admitted to Class A drug use. He appears to be guilty of sexual assault, and of criminal damage. He has certainly conspired to commit assault occasioning grievous bodily harm, because there is a recording of his conspiracy to that effect with an old lag. And he clearly misappropriated public funds in the case of Jennifer Arcuri, at least. When he going to be deported to his native United States?
I am the Independent parliamentary candidate for North West Durham. What are you doing?
Don’t be so stupid-the people being deported are gun runners and industrial scale drug dealers. There are no MPs with any such convictions. Talk about backing the wrong horse!
ReplyDeleteThere are MPs, and their very close associates, who have done those things, let me assure you.
DeleteName them-I dare you. A blog is a publication...
ReplyDeleteQuite.
DeleteEveryone knows who they are. If you don't, then you must be no one.
You're sailing close to the wind here, Mr. L. You're right, everyone knows you're right, but you're being a bit brave saying these things out loud.
DeleteOT: Does anyone know why Lord (Michael) Howard of Lympne is a passionate supporter of Liverpool FC despite being born and raised in South Wales, studying at Cambridge and then working as a barrister in London? Is it just because he's a glory hunter?
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of support for Liverpool in Wales. But yes, this is decidedly off topic.
