Johnny Mercer says that the nuclear test veterans did not experience enough “risk and rigour” to merit a medal.
He was awarded one of his own two medals for having taken part in the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012. Risky and rigorous, indeed.
Oh, and so much for Trident. It does not even deter fishermen.
