CUK Off, Tony Blair

Two per cent support, in polls with a three point margin of error, means that Change UK might not even exist. Ah, the old ones are the best. But did Arlen Specter ever become President? Well, there you are, then.

Such as it is, Change UK could be killed off by asking Gavin Esler, who is its only outside possibility of an MEP, what he thought of Tony Blair. The answer would not be, "He should have been 15 years into a whole life tariff by now." So that would be that.

Remainers, at least have the self-respect to vote Lib Dem. Here in the North East, that party's lead candidate is Fiona Hall, its former MEP here and former Leader in the European Parliament. That is a serious play for the third seat after Labour and the Brexit Party in that order.

Beyond that, another hung Parliament is coming, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post. I will stand for this seat, if I can raise the £10,000 necessary to mount a serious campaign. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
