Universal Destination

Anglo-Catholics are often so left-wing that it raises serious questions about submission to the Magisterium.

And anyone joining the Catholic Church from the Church of England is not only submitting to Catholic Social Teaching, but also joining communities full of Labour voters and public sector employees, especially in the Catholic part of the state school sector.

That includes the Ordinariate, every outpost of which is just holding another more-or-less traditional celebration of the Ordinary Form Sunday Mass in an existing Catholic parish church.

Wherever anyone disaffected by Rowan Williams's article may be thinking of taking refuge, it certainly ought not to be in the Catholic Church. They wouldn't like it. They really wouldn't like it at all.
