Quite Right

Ed Miliband is quite right to withdraw from the Durham Miners' Gala rather than appear on a platform with Bob Crow, whose union has not been affiliated to the Labour Party for some years and whose closest connection to any political party is now to that of David Cameron.

The Conservative Party quite recently welcomed, with some fanfare, John Marek, who was fiercely anti-monarchist and anti-hunting while Labour MP for Wrexham, and who went on to become the founder and only ever Leader of Forward Wales, a Welsh separatist, Welsh-speaking supremacist, economically Hard Left, unyieldingly Politically Correct, Tommy Sheridan-endorsed, RMT-funded party which was only dissolved in January of last year.

  1. Why haven't you rejoined? If you lived anywhere else, you would. You would have done it by now. What is stopping you? Cuts in bus services to Lanchester, cuts in bus services to Catholic schools, an all-women shortlist for a seat you ended up being too ill to contest anyway, and not getting a nomination a million years ago for a council that doesn't exist anymore.
