"Centrist"? The Centre of what, exactly?
The silence from the Lib Dems indicates that they do not take this any more seriously than anyone else does.
But then, they opposed the Iraq War, at least until it had started. They opposed the Blair Government's assaults on civil liberties.
And they are thorns in the side of many a ghastly right-wing Labour Council. Even the one that blocks the Independent Group's "pornographic" website.
