If Jon Lansman became General Secretary of the Labour Party, then he would have to give up his seat on its National Executive Committee, which is delicately balanced between the Left and the rest. That seat would then go to the highest scoring unsuccessful candidate at the recent election, Eddie Izzard.
Come on, Jon. George Galloway ought not to be suing you when plenty of our enemies have been falsely accusing him of anti-Semitism for many years. But nor should you be doing this. Unity Is Strength.
