When George Osborne became Editor of the Evening Standard, then I said that he was going to stand for Mayor of London. Now, everyone says that. The question is whether he intends to combine the two positions. I strongly suspect so.
And then there is whether he intends to reach out to those who are at least broadly in agreement with him about the need for big infrastructure projects in partnership with the BRICS countries in general and China in particular.
