Failing The Test Tube Test

The BBC just made the Catholic Church sound obscurantist over IVF.

But huge numbers of human embryos are created and then destroyed. Often, for those who draw the distinction, long after they have developed into pregnancy. Hardly anyone seems to know that.

Or that, statistically speaking, IVF does not even work in its own terms. Nothing else with anything approaching its failure rate would be funded by the NHS.

They will not be learning these facts from any of the coverage of the death of Sir Bob Edwards.
