Don't Hate, Donate


One dodgy cause, but six excellent ones.

Notice how the Durham Miners' Association were the tabloids' darlings this time last week, over Paolo Di Canio.

But it is all change now that they dare to mention injustices done directly to them well within their own adult lifetimes.

  1. Which is as it should be, given the disgusting nature of the leader of the Durham Miners' comments on Baroness Thatcher's death. He described it as the best birthday party he could have received - a disgusting comment, suggestive not only of a lack of empathy but also a lack of character.

  2. Largely the fault of what we see now, the attempt to turn her into a national figure who somehow transcended politics. It had started even before she died. She outlived her life, as some people do. But there was bound to be a reaction against such nonsense. Here it is.
