In his Spectator Diary, Alastair Campbell has a point about the need to look into "the cosy links between cops and hacks". But he makes it quite clear that John Yates's card has been marked ever since the carry on over cash for seats (peerages are not honours, but seats in Parliament), and that it is now payback time.
