Cut It Out

I am very pleased that there is a new campaign against female genital mutilation.

But there is nothing any more acceptable about male genital mutilation.

I would rather be a Melkite in Lebanon than be a Melkite in Palestine west of the Jordan. I would rather have been a Chaldean in Iraq before 2003 than be a Chaldean in Iraq since 2003. But do not mistake me for an Islamophile.
