If Labour does return to Opposition, then that will mean return of the Shadow Cabinet elections. Various recent resigners, and dog that didn’t bark, take note. Whether or not you have put yourselves out in the last week, you may well be put out in the next year. If Labour loses, then the winners will still be figures such as Michael Meacher and Frank Dobson. Your front bench seats are going back to them.
