We’d All Regret To Recall

Both recall elections and enabling public petitions to force Bills onto the floor of Parliament are astonishingly bad ideas. The latter, in fact, boggles the mind: what if there were no simply MP or Peer willing to sponsor the Bill in question?

The Jeremy Clarkson For PM crowd, or even the BNP, would not really be much of a worry on either count. Rather, these devices would give a new lease of life to the party that was otherwise effectively declared defunct a week ago.

Instead, roll on electoral reform, and the end of all the bankrupt parties. Though none more rapidly than the Neither Of The Above Party.
