Still we barely notice the goings on in Madagascar, vast, populous (and increasingly so), right there both in emerging Africa and in the strategically vital Indian Ocean, British until 1890, and a key potential member of any New New Commonwealth. Yet with neither any British Embassy nor any British overseas aid. We will regret this. Bitterly. And soon.
