Well, I Never!

The latest “suspects” had been under MI5 surveillance anyway, and one of them seems to have been among “the eighteen hundred most dangerous people in the country”. Yet they were able to get on with their doings, not least in Scotland, just as a new Prime Minister and a new Home Secretary were taking over, just as a new and potentially difficult Scottish Executive was settling in, and just as the neocons were planning to consolidate their grip on both the Shadow Cabinet (done) and the Lib Dem front bench (any day now). Who’d have thought it?
