Successive Home Secretaries, of both parties, sent for the file on Mohamed Al-Fayed, or whatever you choose to call him, and duly declined his application for British citizenship.
Now that we are at least beginning to see what must have been in that file, then what do those former Home Secretaries have to say?

ReplyDeleteWho, indeed? In 1997, there was an opportunity to bind him through shared grief with the Royal Family. There might even have been an honorary knighthood. But he turned against them after none of that ever happened. Why not?
