Shades of Yellow?

Stephen Dorrell was John Major's Health Secretary, and thus a particularly comical candidate for Change UK.

I once heard him make a very rude speech about the Liberal Democrats. When, exactly, did he decide that he was one?

I am no Lib Dem, but there are real ones, and I have been known to campaign alongside them on local issues.

They are staunch Remainers, but they did not sign up for some universal anti-Brexit welcome wagon.

They have not decided that they were not Labour only in the last four years, and they have not decided that they were not Conservatives only in the last three months.

They are going to want their party back sooner rather than later, and my money would be on sooner.

Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. A new party is now in the process of registration.

After nearly 30 years of suggestion, speculation, and even a sort of preparation, I will stand for Parliament here at North West Durham, which the latest polling casually allocates to the Lib Dems as if that were uncontroversial.

The crowdfunding page is here, and buy the book here. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
