That which was barking mad, and treasonable, when anybody else proposed it, becomes purely commonsensical, and a patriotic duty, when it is proposed by Boris Johnson.
It is possible that even the DUP submits to this, the Rees-Mogg Rule. The so-called Spartans do. And even some Labour MPs might yet.
Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. A new party is now in the process of registration.
After nearly 30 years of suggestion, speculation, and even a sort of preparation, I will stand for Parliament here at North West Durham.
