They Watch No More

I shall keep Henig Watch going until the vote for Change UK has indicated the sum total of people who believed that there was any such thing as "Labour anti-Semitism.

But Pidcock-Kamm Watch, Yaxley-Lennon Watch and Toadmeister Watch are no more, now that Oliver Kamm (for Change UK), Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (for UKIP or whatever else will have him), and Toby Young (for the Conservative Party), are now candidates for this parliamentary seat of North West Durham. Along with Damian Thompson for the Brexit Party. One insists that she appear in costume as Ann Widdecombe throughout the campaign, up to and including the count.

The Labour candidate will presumably be Laura Pidcock, although it makes no difference to me. It must be said, though, that the ongoing  and farcical attempt to use the criminal justice system to silence me can only now be for her benefit, and it is presumably now at her behest. And I should be sorry to have to fight Owen Temple if he were the Lib Dem, but this is politics.

Unless, of course, Kamm, Yaxley-Lennon, Young and Thompson were all too scared to come here and fight me?

By the way, with its characteristic fondness for grand vanity projects rather than for anything of any real or lasting benefit, the right-wing Labour machine in County Durham really did try and entice back Tony Blair to take this seat. Not "against me", or what have you. But even so. Thank you, then, for the slogan "Tony Blair Didn't Dare".

Another hung Parliament is coming, and we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. It has become a local commonplace that I am on 30-30-30 with Labour and the Conservatives here at North West Durham, so that any one of us could be the First Past the Post. I will stand for this seat, if I can raise the £10,000 necessary to mount a serious campaign. Please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
