It doesn't matter what Ed Miliband says or does. The media cannot mention him without mentioning his brother, for whose Leadership of the Labour Party the BBC, in particular, has been campaigning since even before Tony Blair officially announced that he was standing down.
Under no circumstances must the electorate be confronted with the fact that a serious critique of Blair's fourth term is being made, so that in 2015 there will be a viable alternative to Blair's fifth term.
Instead, everyone must be made to pine for the man who, when he ran Blair's Policy Unit, actually devised, for example, Andrew Lansley's now-abandoned health policy, and whose only problem with the cuts is that they do not go far enough.
