I admire
Nadhim Zahawi, the MP for Stratford-on-Avon.
He has been heating his
stables on parliamentary expenses.
You really do have to have some front
to sit down and fill in a form for that, and then to go and hand it in.
Political prisoner, activist, journalist, hymn-writer, emerging thinktanker, aspiring novelist, "tribal elder", 2019 parliamentary candidate for North West Durham, Shadow Leader of the Opposition, "Speedboat", "The Cockroach", eagerly awaiting the second (or possibly third) attempt to murder me.
It's an excellent use of taxpayers money.
ReplyDeleteWould you want his horses to get cold?
Lovely to read Peter Hitchens personal account of his recent travels in Australia.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant country.
And they're the only Anglosphere country to have recently elected a moderately right-wing leader.
There is no "Anglosphere". Australia, for example, is culturally and politically more like America, and not at all like Britain, having been set up by people who could not possibly have moved far enough away from Britain.
ReplyDeleteA homeland for the Southern English working class, where it could be as brash as it liked and did not even have to modify its accent in order to rule at every social or political level. Soon joined by a heavy Irish Republican element. And even those together have now been a minority of the population for decades.
I shall be doing a post on this tomorrow.
