Sunday's non-coverage of the enormous NHS march, the largest event ever policed in Greater Manchester (and give that a moment to sink in), was only the largest example so far of a very definite trend on the part of the BBC.
One in four of the adult population of Lewisham recently
marched in defence of the hospital there. But the BBC wildly under-reported it,
claiming that there were vastly fewer people than even the police had said.
The downright corrupt relationship between the
Tories, the private healthcare companies and the BBC is going to be exposed as
the furore over this blackout plays out once Parliament is back.
Chaired by Chris Patten, the BBC has an active policy
of ignoring popular opposition to the Coalition's flogging off of the NHS to
all and sundry. Most notably, to Chris Patten.
Can you imagine a Chairman of the BBC being allowed to take the parliamentary Whip of any party other than the Conservatives? That question answers itself.
Murdoch's Sky have been excellent in covering this story.
