Defender of the Faithful?

So, any chance of sacking Michael Weiss, Con Coughlin, Nile Gardiner, Janet Daley and all the other campaigners for the genocide of the Christians in Iraq, the genocide of the Christians in Syria, and the denial that the Christians in the Holy Land exist at all, never mind that Christian Assyrians and Christian Armenians have reserved parliamentary representation in Iran, in marked contrast to "liberated" Iraq in the former case or to Syria-"liberating" Turkey in the latter? No, of course not. He has to eat. Doubtless, he eats very well indeed. Dives and Lazarus...

Telegraph Blogs is a staggeringly anti-Christian site. I have never read an article on, for example, Comment is Free which called for entire Christian populations to be exterminated, still less for the British Armed Forces to participate in the extermination process. But such pieces turn up on Telegraph Blogs several times per week, and quite often several times in a single day. Yet that site's editor, with no theological training whatever (unless he has an A-level or something), is never, ever picked up either on that or on this when he parades himself as the arbiter of Catholic orthodoxy, any more than he is ever picked up on his decidedly non-Catholic economic views or his decidedly non-Catholic lifestyle.

  1. Top marks for that comment, DL. Absolutely brilliant; it certainly put a smile on my face reading through the mountains of dross on DT's blog last night.
