An Extraordinary Rendition, Indeed

This evening's Torchwood concluded with two characters, one of whom is certainly supposed to be a British citizen, being picked up on the streets of Cardiff on the orders of a CIA agent with a view to rendition to the United States or one of its other client-states. The Police could do nothing other than obey him, due to "orders from on high"

"He can't arrest us, he's an American."

"This isn't an arrest. This is a rendition."

Quite. If only either of the Coalition partners, or the Official Opposition, were a conservative, patriotic party.

But how did this first in the series end? "Coming Up This Season". Not "This Series". "This Season". So that's blown that one, then. Good effort, Auntie. But must try harder.
