Militant Mandy

Peter Mandelson? He's dead, isn't he?

No surprise that he wants the Heir to Blair to beat the Heir to Attlee, Gaitskell, Bevan, Wilson, Callaghan, Healey, Shore, Kinnock, Smith and Brown. And no surprise that he expresses it in a newspaper which has supported the Lib Dems at the last three General Elections.

What does it say about Cameron, that he is so enthusiastically endorsed by Tony Blair's closest ally, a former European Commissioner who cut his teeth in the Young Communist League during the Cold War?

Time was when Labour used to expel parties within the party.

  2. Time was when Labour used to expel parties within the party, says the man with the Ed Miliband connections who is trying to set up a party within the Labour Party by resurrecting the BPA as an affilaited consultee if they come to exist, a plain old Fabian-style affiliated organisation of not, the ILP of the Right.

  3. You are big mates with Miliband's mentor, he is even writing for one of your forthcoming books. Your critics are still slavering over Mandelson as if he were an important or influential person, because they have nowhere else to go. No wonder they hate you.

  4. Glad the edited volume is taking shape, but everyone who is anyone is especially anticipating the monograph. Should atract attention on both sides of the left/right divide such as has not been seen since Peter Hitchens' The Abolition of Britain.

  5. Oh, if we can get it into shops and if we can get it reviewed. Even Peter struggles with that. His last one was reviewed in no newspaper except his own.

I am busily rejecting comments from people that my books cannot exist because they cannot find them on the Internet!

Everyone agrees with you now, even Charles Moore. Those of us on whom you have been a life-changing influence are proud to have been so far ahead of the game. Thank God you are still tutoring, long may you remain formative of young minds.

Damian Thompson sacked you from the Telegraph for saying that you were a tutor even though the university calendar said you were then and says you are now.

Why didn't you sue him for constructive dismissal? Is that why he doesn't dare sue you for libel? You'd have a much stronger case than he would.

He is a very evil man.

  11. And loss of subsequent earnings.

Anyway, he won't be coming after me, don't worry about that...

    But on topic, please.

  12. By changing my name to "Former Lindsay tutee" an hour after posting my comment, I've just dmonstrated that I am in fact David Lindsay. As you can see, my stupidity is my most prominent feature. Yet again, I give Durham pure comedy gold by my inept frauds. Also there are NO Lindsay "tutees" because I am a fantasist who faked my CV. That's how I got sacked by Damian who I now thousands of pounds that I haven't got because I'm unemployable!!!

  13. Oh, yes, there are Lindsay tutees, and I am beginning to think that the people who say that it is time I sorted out Damian Thompson over that one might be onto something.

  14. Funny how you were a tutor when they planted some ridiculous story in Palatinate, the arrogant saplings at which thought that it would get you sacked. Instead of which you were made SCR President and put on the Governing Body. Kamm, Thompson and all that trash have found their level, planting articles in Palatinate for everyone important to dismiss with contempt. Let's not go into what happened to the Palatinate office soon afterwards.
