The Whip Hand

Does it matter who receives the Lib Dem Whip in the House of Lords? If it does, then Baroness Tonge should no longer be in receipt of that Whip.

But the Whip, in either House and of whichever party, should also no longer extend to anyone who said that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, or to anyone who said that the 9/11 attacks had come either from there or from Afghanistan, or to anyone who says that there is a threat to this country from Iran.

After all, no one has died or is in any danger of dying because of the silly babblings of Jenny Tonge. Moreover, her own party very enthusiastically egged on a war in which organ-harvesting really did occur, perpetrated by the side that she supported.
