As the BBC Four series on the Great Offices of State turned to the Foreign Office, we were truly treated to the words, on Suez, of the war hero who went on to become the only President of the United States to be baptised in office, and then to warn against the military-industrial complex:
"We do not approve of the use of armed force to resolve international disputes."
Bring back the Republican Party, properly so called. As much as anything else, it would force Obama to ditch the Clintons and all that trash in order to bring back the Democratic Party, properly so called.
