Which Service Do You Require?

Children's television is now so American-dominated that teenagers have been known to dial 911 instead of 999. They can also recite from memory such things as the American reading of rights by an arresting officer, and are deeply shocked to learn that things are quite different here.

Hearken to their "I was like" instead of "I said", and their "I'll get" instead of "Please may I have". Teenage characters on the soaps have even been known to refer to the Police as "the Feds".

I yield to no one in my criticism of the EU. But it is not the great threat to our culture. And it is merely the device of the truly gigantic threat to our sovereignty.
