Good on the Italian public for reacting against things like "il weekend" and "il fitness". But most of all for reacting against "le leadership", which is a plural form in Italian, and therefore takes a plural verb. At the very least, it should be "la leadership" (feminine, one notes), taking a singular verb.
Oh, well, if we can't be bothered to speak English properly, then we can't be surprised if other people do not copy it accurately.
