The alert on my phone made me drop my disposable barbecue, and now the whole street is ablaze.
There were fire pits at the Clactonbury Farage Fest, and its very existence, necessarily arranged well in advance complete with live coverage on GB News, confirmed that Nigel Farage had never intended to attend the count with the Count and another 33 “nobodies”.
But that could not have been because no one there would have been a representative of a major political party. Most members of the House of Commons are, and Farage almost never turns up to that, either.
