Arrest Watch: Day Three

They love arresting me at the weekend so that they can hold me for an extra day.

They especially love arresting me at Bank Holiday weekends so that they can hold me for an extra two days.

And I am far from alone in positively expecting me to be arrested sometime between now and next Wednesday.

We shall see.

  1. Glorious: Reform vows sweeping Trump style cuts to council bureaucracy and to woke “Equality and Diversity” staff, telling diversity workers to find another job.

    1. Well, that's two part-timers who work from home gone, then.

  2. The NHS Confederation proudly boasts it spends at least £40 million a year on something called "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion." https://www.nhsconfed.org/publications/investment-not-drain-edi-nhs#:~:text=Systematic%20work%20to%20eliminate%20inequalities,range%20of%20%C2%A340%20million. We badly need an Elon Musk and a DOGE over here.

Many voters still think councils are there to provide basic services and the NHS is there to treat the sick-not to create taxpayer-funded mickey-mouse jobs for Labour voters.

This nonsense all started under Tony Blair, who shamelessly used public sector spending to create a new public sector voter base dependent on Labour for jobs.

    1. You have no idea which bit of the State is which. And whatever the value or otherwise of those jobs, £40 million per year is a very, very, very small sum to the NHS.
