Rachel Reeves has frozen almost all Civil Service credit cards, but her own parliamentary credit card was suspended because she had overspent by four thousand pounds. She is now the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Par for the course. This evening, Naz Shah, an opponent of assisted suicide and a member of the Bill Committee, had to go home early to recharge her hearing aids after 15 hours of use. Her pleas for consideration fell on deaf ears. Why do we choose to be disabled?
Having decided that you cannot be disabled before the age of 22, Liz Kendall wants to send those who will thus be unsupported into the Armed Forces. Read that again until it quite sank in. And what of those who became disabled as Keir Starmer's "peacekeepers", shooting, and being shot by, what were therefore presumably Russian "peacekeepers"? It is beneath contempt to cut disability benefits, which it should be said went straight into the consumer economy, while pursuing a foreign policy that was bound to lead to an exponential increase in severe and permanent physical and mental injury.
We knew Kendall was bad but Torsten Bell turns out to be even worse.
ReplyDeleteAfter her car crash interview on Channel 4 News, they could not risk her on Newsnight. So they put up her office boy, who appeared to be a Poor Law Guardian.
