Key Workers?

During the lockdowns, the Prime Minister was a sexually incontinent alcoholic with no fixed political principles and an aversion to the truth. Imagine that. And Leonie Mellinger looks like the former MP for Darlington, Jenny Chapman. Whatever happened to her?

The lockdown breaches did for Boris Johnson and may yet do for Keir Starmer, but there is no need for the broader picture to be hidden by the closest European ally of Donald Trump. When tariffs were imposed on the EU, then they would apply to Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, the lot. But Trump says that Starmer is "very nice" and is "doing a good job".

We now see what Trump's tariffs are about. They are not Hamiltonian. The threat of them is just a bargaining chip in the negotiations towards other things. That has sort of worked on Canada and Mexico, although they are not going to be doing much more than they would have been doing anyway. But it is nothing more than that. If pushed, then Trump will impose tariffs, as he has done on China and may well on the EU. But his reasons for doing so are not economic.
