In addition to probing the Kennedy assassinations and that of Martin Luther King, Representative Anna Paulina Luna's Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets will be going after Jeffrey Epstein's client list, which could cause a magnificent diplomatic incident with the United Kingdom, and I am not talking about Prince Andrew.
The pursuit of the truth about 9/11 is also welcome in principle, although whether it will be a pursuit of the Saudis or of assorted wild geese is not clear from the decision also to investigate unidentified ariel phenomena (which used to be called UFOs), unidentified submerged objects, and the origins of Covid-19. Still, over to President Trump to order the release of all the files. Let us see whom that would satisfy.
But why does Donald Trump not move the Palestinians of Gaza to the largely Arab, and especially Levantine, swing state of Michigan, himself become legally resident there, and prepare for his third act as its Governor thanks to their grateful votes? The answer to that is the answer to why this Task Force will not be investigating the attack on the USS Liberty, or the activities of Jonathan Pollard.
Top of the polls-in a feat not achieved by any other party in 100 years, Reform UK has outpolled Labour and the Conservatives.
ReplyDeleteThe Right is on the rise.

Someone always did come top of any poll.
DeleteAnd to address the point that you are presumably trying to make, the Alliance used to do so from time to time.
But yes, the rise of Reform UK is an important phenomenon.
People with certain views on these things are never going to change them.
ReplyDeleteAs we are no doubt about to see.
Delete"Someone always did come top of any poll."
ReplyDeleteBut it was previously only ever the Big Two parties.
The victory of the Republicans in all three of the Senate, Congress and the White House meant our biggest trading partner and the leader of the Free World is now anti-net zero, anti-immigration, anti-gender self identification (and wokery in general), pro Brexit and pro protectionism. Now Britain just needs to join them in electing a government of similar views.
From Goldman Sachs today abandoning diversity policies to Facebook sacking Clegg and his woke "fact-checkers", the message is already sinking in across corporate America.
It was not "previously only ever the Big Two parties". Both of the previous star vehicles for Nigel Farage even topped the poll in real national elections, and as I said, it was not unknown for the Alliance to do so in opinion polls.
DeleteAnyone who uses such terms as "leader of the Free World", or "Special Relationship", ought not to be permitted to hold office in this country, or indeed in any country other than the one to which their allegiance is clear. How much Trumpism happened anywhere else will be the test of what such leading role the United States really had.
