If you were spiked and nothing was done about it while Keir Starmer was the Director of Public Prosecutions, then that must have been because he had not realised that it was illegal. No one minded to commit this act will be deterred by this change in the law.
Do Starmer's successors realise that it is illegal for a British citizen to "accept or agree to accept any commission or engagement in the military or naval service of any foreign state at war with any foreign state at peace with His Majesty"? If so, then they will either prosecute James Scott Rhys Anderson upon his welcome return to these shores, or the United Kingdom is officially at war with Russia.
