It has always been visible from outer space that Captain Sir Tom Moore’s daughter was a grifter. In any case, it should never have been his job to have funded the NHS. Centenarians doing sponsored laps of their gardens recalls the Bullseye of my childhood, when people played for the money to buy equipment for their local hospitals.
The Ingram-Moores need to pay up, of course. But things cannot end there. In Tomorrow Will Be A Good Day, Captain Tom wrote that, “Writing this book has given me the chance to raise even more money for the charitable foundation now established in my name.” Fraud.
Are we not speaking ill of the dead?
ReplyDeleteHe was either as guilty as hell, which the very old can still be, or he was a sobering example of the case against assisted suicide, since he had very greedy and manipulative heirs indeed.
DeletePeople are too polite to mention what a waste of money it is donating to our failed healthcare model. We have the highest proportion of state funded healthcare in Europe yet among the lowest proportion of health spending per person. Countries like France and Germany spend over 50% more per capita because they’re sensible enough to have private insurance as well as state funding for the poorest.
ReplyDelete“New analysis from the Health Foundation puts this into starker contrast, showing that in 2022 Germany spent 55 per cent more per capita and France 26 per cent than the UK. “
