Who cares what David Miliband says about anything? The BBC, that's who. Its chronic campaign for him to become Prime Minister has flared up again today.
I remember when Miliband was a candidate for Leader of the Labour Party, and ardent Blairites kept telling me how wonderful it would be to have a Leader who sat for a constituency in the North East. They, who included members of Durham County Council, had honestly never noticed that Tony Blair had purported to be the MP for Sedgefield. Well, what had there ever been to notice? For all practical purposes, the Prime Minister of the North East has been Margaret Thatcher continuously for 39 years and counting.
Miliband, Nick Clegg and Nicky Morgan claim to represent "rival" political parties. But while that is true now, it was most certainly not the case when any of them had anything to do with the running of those parties. The Gang of Three also claims that its members have often been in disagreement about other issues. Really? Name three.
