Meghan Markle is invariably described as "sparkling", in the way that the Queen Mother was invariably described as "radiant".
It took an awful lot of effort to radiate all day and every day, for longer than most people are alive at all. She herself said that there was "arsenic in the marshmallow", and the Duke of Windsor described her and Queen Mary, his own mother, as "ice-veined bitches".
Ice, of course, has a sparkle.
