Now that the local elections are over, whatever happened to what up until last week was apparently the huge story of anti-Semitism in Labour Party? And why does Barnet matter, when Kirkless or Plymouth does not? Is it because it is in London?
Up to a point, yes. But at the same time, why does Barnet matter when Tower Hamlets, which was also taken by Labour from No Overall Control, does not? Well, Barnet is 45.5 per cent White British, whereas Tower Hamlets is only 31.2 per cent White British, but 32 per cent Bangladeshi.
High turnout in Tower Hamlets has been considered a problem in itself in the very recent past. No one would say that about Barnet.
