Old Times There Are Not Forgotten?

50 white MPs marched through the streets yesterday to demand the expulsion of Marc Wadsworth from the Labour Party. All that was missing were the Confederate flags. I would compare them to the Dixiecrats, but some of those were quite left-wing economically.

I hope that this lynch mob is exactly as proud as it ought to be of having so delighted Guido Fawkes. Meanwhile, Nick Cohen has invoked Enoch Powell's Rivers of Blood speech in this whole affair, declaring that the support for Wadsworth, unsuccessful though it was, meant that the black man now had the whip hand over the white man. Is Cohen a member of the Labour Party?

Oh, well, onwards to the Lewisham East by-election, right there on the home turf of the Stephen Lawrence campaign that this expulsion has been designed to tar and feather for its uppitiness. The man who introduced Doreen and Neville Lawrence to Nelson Mandela is now free to contest that by-election.
