The following letter may or may not appear in the newspapers this morning, but it certainly appears here:
I am delighted to be able to inform you and your readers of the foundation of the Lanchester Secretariat and of the Lanchester Gulf Cooperation Council.
The Lanchester Secretariat will communicate with and through the persons and offices of Jeremy Corbyn and Tom Watson, in the united furtherance of the Dalit, Chagossian and Rohingya causes. The members are Meena Varma, Director of the Dalit Solidarity Network UK; Allen Vincatassin, President of the Provisional Government of Diego Garcia and the Chagos Islands; Tun Khin, the leading Rohingya human rights activist; and me, to whom all Secretariat correspondence ought to be addressed by email.
As ought all correspondence relating the Lanchester Gulf Cooperation Council, by means of which Dr Christopher Davidson, Reader in Middle East Politics in the University of Durham, and I will bring together non-Islamist dissidents from each of the Gulf Cooperation Council states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates) in consultation with Jeremy Corbyn and Tom Watson. A list of founder-members will be announced as soon as possible.
Beginning in 2016, each body will hold at least three annual events, one at Durham, one at the Labour Party Conference, and one at the Palace of Westminster. We have waited a very long time for this. Unity Is Strength.
